TIPS AND HINTS

Clutter:

  • Utilize the 15 minute rule every day. Spend 15 minutes purging, sorting, organizing, or tidying up.
  • Decide in a store what an item will be used for, where it will go, and what value it brings to your home.
  • Just because an item is on sale does not make it a good value.
  • Open mail by the trash can and immediately discard items you do not need.
  • Get rid of what you don’t need. It’s taking up valuable space.

Time Management:

  • Buy all your greeting cards for an entire year.
  • Have a gift bin for unexpected (or forgotten) birthdays, anniversaries, or baby showers.
  • Keep your filing system simple. The fewer files the better.
  • Decide what is urgent and what is important.
  • Determine how long tasks really take.
  • Find out what’s working in your life and build from that.
  • Plan a two-week menu.
  • Delegate tasks to your children.
